Leftward Ho!

I’ve said my fill about Black
Panther
and am done with discussing the obvious leftist Cultural
Marxist manifestation
of “identity” politics for blacks, courtesy of
Hollywood.

This column is about the
ongoing leftward turn of CPAC.

It’s time to focus on
something that the anti-Trumpers and the Left are likely tittering about now,
which is the major slide to the Left of CPAC, or the Conservative
Political Action Conference
.  And how
are conservatives leaning Left when the Left has proven to be conservatives’
mortal enemy?
Pamela Geller was supposed to
have a panel at CPAC sponsored by her ADFI, but
since September, after expressing interest, the show-runners of CPAC at the
last minute, cancelled Geller even holding a panel in a spare room because it
refused to allow Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit on
the panel.  The Wikipedia link to Gateway
reveals the author’s bias and hostility by asserting, “
The website is
known for publishing falsehoods and spreading hoaxes.” Which is a lie, as much
of one that accused Pamela Geller of dropping out of the latest CPAC synod. Robert
Spencer has the whole story
of CPAC’s dhimmitude over the jihad threat.
Both Geller
and Spencer
describe the whirligigs, chiefly by APP’s Terry Schilling, put Geller through
for months.
Robert Spencer writes:
The
Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) has never been much interested
in hosting honest discussion of the jihad terror threat.
Not
only has CPAC consistently dissembled about the nature and magnitude of the
jihad threat, but it has also shown a disturbing tendency to dance to the tune
of the Left. Saul Alinsky’s 13th Rule for Radicals is “‘Pick the target, freeze
it, personalize it, and polarize it.
Cut off the support network and
isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people
hurt faster than institutions.” The Left consistently does this; in the case of
counter-jihadis (including me), it presents our statements, however correct and
demonstrable, as egregious and individual to us — that’s freezing and
personalizing the target. Then Leftists move to “cut off the support network
and isolate the target from sympathy,” demanding that others on the Right
disavow and condemn, or at very least shun, the target.
One of CPAC’s leaders is Suhail
Kan, a Muslim
, who denied to an audience during CPAC-2014 that the Muslim Brotherhood existed in the U.S.
Geller writes,
The uber-left SPLC’s “Hatewatch” is a
clearinghouse of enemedia articles that reflect the propaganda spin that it
wants to put on news events. In this edition, it links to the Forward’s ridiculous hit piece on me that tries to make something of
a few retweets supposedly by Russian bots, as well as to the CNN story in which
ACU board member Terry
Schilling lies
about the panel I conceptualized and proposed to CPAC, and
which now has been taken over by Schilling without my authorization.
You can read the full story of that here — I
proposed a panel and list of speakers to CPAC. Then CPAC demanded I drop Jim
Hoft, as he had offended leftists. When I refused, they canceled the panel. Now
CPAC is claiming that I was
“invited” to that panel and “bowed out,” and
they’re presenting a panel of the same title, with same speakers, minus Jim
Hoft (who they demanded be removed) and me.
It’s intellectual theft.
It also plays into the vicious hands of the
CPAC, which has announced
its intention to “destroy”
the individuals and groups that it deems “hate
groups” because they dissent from its far-left agenda. CPAC, like RINOs
everywhere, always jump to do the left’s bidding, and act as its tools. That’s
what’s happening here. Does CPAC leadership think the left will spare them if
they jump to its tune and drop Hoft when they demand it, and sing along with
the SPLC? They are in for a surprise.
And,
CPAC’s Terry Schilling: Snake in the grass.

Now Terry
Schilling
of the American Principles Project (APP) says he is holding the
panel anyway, without either me or Hoft, and that it was his panel to which he
invited me. In reality, neither Schilling nor the APP nor anyone at CPAC had
any hand in the conception or organization of this panel. CPAC’s claim that I
was “invited” to this panel that I originated and that I then bowed out is a
lie; their running with this panel that I conceived and organized without my
authorization or consent is intellectual theft.

This is the height of irony: a panel on free
speech from which not one, but two speakers have been banned. How can they
claim to stand for free speech after dropping a speaker because of pressure
from the authoritarian left? What value can a free speech panel have when two
free speech leaders were banned from that panel? And if I am so toxic, having
been shunned at CPAC for years, why are they stealing my work?
The panel is now bitterly ironic: social
media censorship discussed at a heavily censored event. CPAC should be inviting
us, not banning us. To bow to the left by dropping Jim Hoft of Gateway because
the left is targeting him only reinforces our weakness and shows why we are
losing this great war.
Grover Norquist’s influence
at CPAC, the American
Conservative Union
,  and in other “conservative”
burrows of obsequious deference to Islam –  “Carry a twig,” not  “big stick” – to the effect that many
conservatives regard Islam is a “religion of peace,” regardless of the number
of attacks in the West and on Westerners committed by the murderous sycophants
of Islam. It is likely significant to his mindset that Norquist is married to a
Palestinian Muslim, and has become a

CPAC’s Grover Norquist: Muslim leader

Muslim..  He claims that Islam’s beliefs and practices
are compatible
with the U.S. Constitution
.

Will not Surrender to Norquist’s “lions” of Islam

The
Potomac Tea Party Report
in 2011 suggested this dollop of honesty from Norquist:

If Norquist was sincere in his belief that
Muslim goals (Sharia!) and our Constitution were perfectly compatible, he would
quit calling those who disagree with him names.  He would stand up and
tell the truth about his involvement since before 9/11 with Islamists. He would
explain how and when he himself became a Muslim.  He would put it all out
on the table and urge debate on his apparent belief that the Republican Party
should embrace all Muslims and frankly
he should agree to debate someone like Frank Gaffney in a public forum for us
all to hear all the facts so that we can each decide for ourselves who we agree
with.  That is what he should do if he REALLY cares about the Republican
Party.

That is not going to happen. If the powers
behind CPAC are not only unwilling to debate knowledgeable authorities on the
peril of Islam, but go out of their way to smear and denigrate those authorities
and censor them when they can, one must ask what kind of leadership governs
CPAC. Norquist cares about the Republican Party only insofar as it becomes
hostile to freedom of speech.

And there you have it. The conservative cave
is populated with fork-tongued snakes like Grover Norquist and Terry Schilling,
more than willing to duct tape and silence crusaders for freedom like Pamela
Geller and Jim Hoft and so many others.

Wither go conservatives? Except more to the
left, Alinsky-style? Does the rank-and-file conservative realize what a
bill-of-goods he is being sold? Does he know where he is going?

Black Panther: Cultural Marxist Soul Food

Class clashes in Black Panther:

tribal rituals trump reason

You wake up in the morning,
turn on your computer after fixing a coffee, and read the world and national news
from a variety of blog sites, some of them your regulars (Sultan Knish, Pam
Geller, Robert Spencer, Diana West, Gatestone, etc.). You’re overwhelmed by a
waterfall of information. You’re inundated by the volume of things you’d like
to compose a column about. But it’s hard to choose, because not a thing you read
doesn’t flash its importance like a neon sign.
They’re all important, just more ticks in the advance of cultural
Marxism in the government, in society, and just in general.

You read the MSM sites to
absorb the latest victory lap about the transgendering
of society, or how Muslim
“immigrants”
were sentenced in Britain for repeated rapes of white British
girls and children, but
were given light or no sentences
. But you do not believe what they have to
say or report. You keep getting special invitations to subscribe to the New York Times and the Washington
Post
, via links from other blog sites with full transcriptions of significant
articles of those articles, but you refuse to pay a dime to get regular news
from the Gray Lady with a Walker, and its disinformation clone, Jeff Bezos’s new toy, the
Washington Post, not after all the lies and evasions both newspapers have promoted
and circulated, going as far back as Walter
Duranty’
s Pulitzer Prize award-winning articles on the Soviet Union that
denied mass starvation and government murders in Stalin’s “paradise”.

Speaking of a Stalinesqe
paradise, we visit again Black
Panther
, the latest victory lap of Cultural Marxism, courtesy of Hollywood.
This is the fictional African country, Wakanda, that the MSM has touted as a
glorious booster of black pride and a new direction of super-hero films.
Black Panther is “soul food.”Wakanda is a hidden country whose Ayn Rand-borrowed device hides the country
from prying eyes, has eschewd all contact with the world beyond its closed
borders, and owes its existence to a
vibranium meteor that fell
into the regions ages ago, giving the tribe that found it magical powers.
Wakanda is a kind of Shakespearean monarchy of elites whose throne is up for
grabs, but with far less literacy or literary value.

Why is a hereditary monarchy an
expression of Cultural Marxism? You’re supposed to suspend belief in this
action comic book movie for the sake of honoring “black pride,” just as we were
supposed to suspend belief, when it was propagated by Walter Duranty, that
Soviet Russia was a socialist utopia of plentitude and contentment.

With no historical indication of how Wakanda actually came to be, we
are supposed to just prima facie,
with no further investigation, questioning, or wonder, believe that Wakanda is
superior in all respects to the West.
A Black Lives Matter symbol:
Coincidence or happenstance?

But “black pride” is an identity vehicle. It is a product of Marxism.

Marxism forecasts the overthrow of the capitalist system and establishing
the equalization of everyone so that no one group rules over another – the rich
over the poor, socialist factories over Mom and Pop shops, one ethnic group
over another, and so on. America has never had a “socialist” mentality (except
among the intellectuals of the Left and mainstream media pundits of the Left),
and Marxism has never been bought by most Americans as a viable or even as a
desirable social system. Americans would rather forge their own lives and
futures, and not the government or some coterie of the “elite.”

Marxism has
failed miserably anywhere it has tried. Marxism has impoverished or murdered
the very “class” of people it purports to help (lately in Venezuela).
It was advocated to fight the rich and the corrupt and tyrants, but all it has
ever done is oppress the downtrodden and brutally squelch any resistance to the
rule of the socialist elite.

Post-modernist Marxists have given up on convincing
most people that they are a downtrodden “class” or that they are oppressed proletarians,
and substituted a bewildering variety of post-modern “identities”: women, transsexuals,
blacks, whites, Hispanics, the obese, children, and so on, all being bequeathed
by ideology the “right” of expression and “self-determination.”  Except  perhaps “whites.” In the Marxists’ hidden
lexicon are the terms communism and socialism
The Cultural Marxist character of Black
Panther
is that it creates a mythology for blacks to “believe in” or “relate”
to. The rivals for the Wakandan throne, T’Challa (the “moderate” nice guy) and “Erik”
Killmonger (the power-luster) engage in a physical battle to see who is “superior,”
watched over by a bald, all-female bodyguard, the Dora Milaje. The Dora Milaje
could easily evolve into something akin to Hitler’s Schutzstaffel (the Protection Squadron), to enforce the king’s
will on all Wakandans, except  that it’s
armed with spears.

Wakanda
can’t be a democracy as we know it, nor a republic. There is no inkling of what
kind of government it has other than the hereditary monarchy that apparently
has real and not just symbolic power, as many European monarchies have.
There
are so many characters in the Marvel film and in the comic book series that it’s
hard to keep track of them. One character, Zuni, who is the religious and “spiritual”
advisor to the other main characters and the keeper of the sacred
vibranium herb, appears and
has a subsidiary role in the film. Wikipedia wrote
of him:

RyanCoogler, the film’s
director, said that Zuni is the
Black
Panther’
s version of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The film
borrows and filches so many gimmicks and features from its cinematic predecessors
that one could make a career identifying them.
Black Panther has been ginned up as a “black moment” to celebrate
“blackness” but certainly not “diversity.” Louis  Farrakhan would  agree. It’s all about blackness, so you white
people, stay out of the room. Which prompts another question:  would Wakanda treat neighboring South Africa as a “good
neighbor”? How would it view S.A.’s racist,
anti-white government? Adopt a “different folks, different strokes” policy?

Wakanda: The Eye of a Newt

I began my last column, “Wakanda:
‘The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of
,’”
with ‘The title is from the last line of Dashiell Hammett’s The Maltese Falcon. It’s an
appropriate quotation for wishful thinking.  In keeping with the denouement of “The
Maltese Falcon,” Black Panther
is a lump of political lead painted black.’
Black Panther was produced
and released as a “black” event, not as “entertainment” or
as chiefly cinematic “art.” The driving force behind it was politics,
and “Identity” politics, at that. I saw that from the beginning and
the SJWs ate it up. The film falls into the genre of super-hero fare, just as Shaft and Cotton Comes to Harlem as
black films were.  (I remember having
smidgens of reservations when I was much younger about the “Superman”
I saw on TV; “Look! Up in the sky!
It’s a Bird! It’s a plane! It’s Superman!”), but I never developed a liking for
Spiderman or any of the other Marvel-like comics or their heroes.
This is not to rule out all comic super-heroes, even when they appear
in comic books. Some of them have a value as an introduction to heroic values.
I read the Classic
Comics
of literature when I was younger, and also some newspaper comic
panels. The latter did not usually feature heroes able to fly or perform
reality-defying feats in pursuit of justice.
But a maturing person should leave these things behind to discover the  great literature that is their source, not
ceasing to value their juvenile offspring, but answering the needs of a growing
mind. Or they should at least eschew these fictional  “self-esteem” booster shots tp the psyche,
such as Black Panther. Or they should
discover “fresh” new movies, such as Agora, and the
circumstances behind the fall of ancient Alexandria, Egypt, or learn the
classical myths of gods and goddesses – Zeus, Athena, Mercury, etc. – the
“super beings” who often affect mortals’  actions, and often their interventions are inseparable
from men’s actions and thinking;  and from
the stories of Odysseus,
and Clytemnestra
and Theseus,
and other non-temporal or semi-godlike actors. The ancient playwrights were far
more attuned to their works than most modern playwrights are. The ancient
playwrights, and Shakespeare,
Rostand, and Victor Hugo, were not
copycats.

Clytemnestra, John Collier, 1882

The thing that held me back in respect  to contemporary comic book mythologies  was epistemology; heroic actions had
to be credible, believable, and within the realm of rationality and real human
action. This is why all my novels
are “real worldly,” including the Sparrowhawk series. That Black Panther was billed as the “tribal
adventures” of a black super-hero, turned me off immediately, because I
knew it was a post-BLM venture and black power statement to capture black
“identity”; as I ask in my column, why not a movie about a Hispanic
“super-hero,” or a Muslim “super-hero” (though Marvel
is producing comics
of just the latter)?  Don’t leave out a single
ethnic identity, Hollywood! Don’t forget the Sioux , the Buddhists, the
Navajos, and the Alaskan natives! They are all deserving of their own cinematic
mythology and fictional countries! Why should blacks and Black Panther have a corner on the ethnic identity market?
One of the best discussions of Black
Panther
is by Sargon at this video link. He
takes it apart root, twig, and branch. He says that one Time Magazine reviewer
wrote that the film is about “the revolutionary power of Black Panther.“ Another Time reviewer, Stephanie
Zacharek
, wrote that Wakanda is “what America looks like when it’s
allowed to be its truest, freest self. ” Which is not the most ideal projection
or wishful dream of what America could be. Wakanda, after all, is a hereditary,
tribal monarchy whose default siblings engage in mortal combat for the right to
sit on the Wakandan throne. Shakespeare did it better in England and Denmark.
What about Wakanda’s shimmering skyline of towers? What economy
supports them? Who works in them? Executives? Secretaries? Economic planners? Budget
balancers? Power Point compilers? Boards of directors? Not a hint is given.  One sees a group of bazaars covered with corrugated
sheet metal. Hardly the basis of a sound Wakandan dollar. The towers are just
there as irrefutable proof that Wakanda is on a par with Lower Manhattan.
What technology keeps it all running?
Vibranium, the
magic metal that fell from the sky. Does Wakanda even have a periodic table? Or is
it just plain magic and Herculean urgings that bestow its inexplicable power
that makes things go, aside from one or two of the rival kings consuming a vibranium-mutated
herb and being bestowed with super powers? It vibrated?

The technological power of

 Vibranium
in Black Panther
Let’s just settle for the Three
Witches in Macbeth. Is it
the “Eye of newt and toe of frog, wool of bat and tongue of dog, adder’s fork
and blind-worm’s sting, lizard’s leg and owlet’s wing”? It’s as good as three
vibrating gay molecules.  This, Sargon
says, is not “technology.”  It’s pure hocus-pocus.
 Vibranium is Star Trek’s
dilithium crystal for Wakanda. Aside
from many other aspects of Black Panther,
I suspect that, aside from story lines copied liberally or partly from Harry Potter and  Lord of the Rings
and other well-known titles, the notion of dilithium must have been copped
from Star Trek and redubbed. In the
long run, we got Harry battling Lord Voldemort,  while heir presumptive of Wakanda T’Challa
battles Killmonger.
But, to add it all up, Sam Spade in the
Maltese Falcon
summed Black Panther
best: It’s just a lump of black painted lead.

Wakanda: “The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of”

The title is from the last
line of Dashiell Hammett’s The
Maltese Falcon
. It’s an appropriate quotation for wishful thinking.

In keeping with the denouement of “The Maltese Falcon,” Black
Panther
is a lump of political lead painted black.
Black Panther is a film that should please Black Lives Matter
and members of the old
and new Black
Panther Part
y. It empowers blacks to show whites who has the better moxy.  Based on a comic book (which is not the ideal
source for important ideas in the first place), it brings to cinematic reality
a world in which blacks are center stage and the center of existence. The
outside world – beyond Wakanda, the name of the fictional African country –
doesn’t exist. The continent exists, but not the Marvel Comics country.
The
fictional country is more isolationist than was Nazi Germany, with no emigration
or immigration allowed (except for the German army, when it was invading); it
doesn’t trade with  white “colonial”
countries, or even with other black countries. It’s developed flying machines (without
the benefit of the Wright Brothers), and has even borrowed Ayn Rand’s idea a visual
field from Galt’s Gulch
in Atlas Shrugged.
Galt’s Gulch existed somewhere in the Rockies and it’s made invisible to
outsiders and the government. The Wakandan field renders the
capital city of Wakanda invisible (is it the only Wakandan city?) replacing
what is seen with the surrounding African wilderness.
Wakanda is
technologically superior to any country in the West, thanks a meteor that
crashed in the region of a primitive tribe a long time ago. The meteor was made
of
vibranium, an element as fictional as Wakanda, and
plays a role in other comic book stories featuring comic book super heroes.
Vibranium has unexplained attributes to power the city and everything else in
Wakanda, including its flying machine. Eating a leaf of a plant affected by the
magical waves of vibranium endows the eater super powers.
But, as one reviewer
pointed out
, were not for that meteor, the Wakandans would have
accomplished nothing. But because the script writers could not recreate a
credible reason for the Wakandans’ advance, not without citing white innovators,
they had to settle for a rock falling from space, an unbelievable deus ex machina, to say the least.
Somehow,
the primitives over time developed an advanced society (apparently
exclusive  of the Black
Athena
, another pretzel-like “scholarly” attack on the
West, which tried to prove that ancient Greek civilization was a parasitical
culture, borrowing from the Egyptians and the Phoenicians ) whose “superiority”
is not described. This history is sketchily referred to. No Wakandan Aristotles
or John Lockes
or Newtons ever existed.
The economy of Wakanda is also a mystery. The city
has dozens of tall, gleaming skyscrapers, but what is their economic base? The
only economic activity shown is what amounts to a byzantine maze of head-level
bazaars, flea, or secondhand markets, hardly the foundation of clusters of
sparkling billion-dollar buildings and a thriving, dynamic economy.
The Wakandans have preserved, and practice, their
ancestors’ primitive ways and rituals, which glaringly clash with the alleged
advanced and superior Wakandan society. I’m reminded of the Zulu mass marriage
ritual near the beginning of Zulu. The garish costumes
of the cast are reminiscent of the costumes of the worst Star Wars film. The society is hardly “free,” being governed by an
elitist, hereditary family.
Not Star Wars: but Wakanda
The principal characters are embroiled in a dynastic
power struggle and physical tests of strength. The conflicts are evocative of
many of Shakespeare’s dramas. Those struggles are interesting and compelling,
if only for the literature they created, and in which the principals are
immersed. The struggles in Black Panther are
“jive” and too evocative of turf wars in Chicago.
The action scenes of the Black Panther hero jumping from here to there with super ease are
pure comic book eye candy, supported by CGI. The fight scenes are boring and
often obscured in darkness. The film is chock for of fanciful technological
gimmicks, as much as if not more, than in any of the recent James Bond films or
the Batman movies.
I never liked super-hero movies precisely because
the super-heroes were obliged to perform impossible, literally incredible feats
of action. I’ve never been “entertained” by them. They are chiefly children’s
and tweens’ fare. Black Panther is,
in the final analysis, a sop to blacks, to possibly compensate for the fact
that we have just emerged (or been rescued) from eight years of a ruinous, collectivist
black president, Barack Obama, and his own pandering to black “identity”
politics and stale black unemployment of his reign.
Disney and
Marvel Comics could develop and produce an action film that would boost Chicano
pride with a movie about the mythical Mexican kingdom of Aztlán. There are
pages and pages about it in Mexican mythology. And
after Disney and Marvel have placated Hispanics, and seen it drooled over by
the MSM before it’s even released, they could develop a movie project, with CAIR’s input, about the ideal
mythological Islamic empire, and call it Cordova.
Disney and
Marvel could make lots of money, by giving all the ethnic groups in the country
and in the world a cinematic booster shot that grows “identity” self-esteem.
From spear-chuckers to flying machines
The MSM is
doing hip-hop appraisals of
Black Panther. Rotten Tomatoes,
for instance, gave the film a 97% rating.
Marvel’s Black Panther
was always going to be a cultural phenomenon. As the first big-budget
blockbuster in some time to feature not only a black superhero lead, but also a
primarily black ensemble cast of characters, the movie broke early ticket
sales records and has inspired thoughtful discussions everywhere about the
importance of representation in media. All this more than a week before its
release!
An immigration dream of Aztlán
Recognizing the significance of the film,
New Yorker Frederick Joseph worked with GoFundMe to raise $40,000 to take
children from the Harlem Boys & Girls Club to see Black Panther,
then encouraged others to follow suit, calling
it the #BlackPantherChallenge
. His efforts went viral and thousands of
people answered the call, donating over $260,000 to dozens of similar
campaigns.
Based on the record-breaking early ticket
sales, the early
buzz from critics
, and the overwhelming public response to the film, Black
Panther
is likely to become one of the biggest movies in the Marvel
Cinematic Universe
to date. But for many children, the film is more than
just another entry in the franchise, it’s a landmark. If you’d like to
participate in the #BlackPantherChallenge and help get more kids to experience
the film, you can find links to both the campaign’s primary landing page and
each of the individual GoFundMe pages where you can donate below.
We must
inspire (or brainwash) the kids. It’s as bogus an idea as Kwanze, an “African-American“ celebration
created in 1966.
The
Chicago Review
went twirly with:
“Just because something works does not mean
it cannot be improved.”
So says the tech-wizard sister of the title
character in “Black Panther.” It’s an apt credo for this soulful, stirringly
acted and pretty terrific movie’s place in the Marvel Studios realm.
As a rule, these movies basically work, most
of them, even if they sometimes feel more like a product, launched, than a
superhero world, imagined.
But co-writer and director Ryan Coogler’s film qualifies, handily, as his third
consecutive and undeniable success, following the roiling docudrama “Fruitvale
Station” (2013) and the improbable, irresistible “Rocky” sequel “Creed” (2015).
“Black Panther” is also the first Marvel superhero movie I can remember with a
serious emotional wallop. More important, it has a forceful, natural sense of
how to let the mythic world converse with the racial politics of the real
world.
This review goes on and on about how
empowering and gloryful the film is.
And that is just about how the MSM,
virtually in toto, received Black Panther. There are dozens more
such reviews that need only an adept touch of Scrabble applied to each other’s
review content. But, readers might complain: “Cline! You haven’t seen the
movie, so how can you review it?” I’ve seen the previews and trailers. If the MSM
likes it, I won’t. I see no reason why I should spend time and effort on the exercise.
Ask me to review something Max Opul’s Letter From an Unknown Woman
whose best line is, “I
think everyone has two birthdays
: the day of his physical birth, and the
beginning of his conscious life.”
Conscious lives need not apply to Disney and
Marvel Comics.

In keeping with the denouement of “The Maltese Falcon,” Black Panther is a lump of political lead painted black.

Disturbed Homicides

Portrait of a mad man

Following my column of February 16th, Monsters
and Madness
, this one itemizes in more detail the extent of homicidal
madness today, around the world.
First up is the case of Nicolas
Cruz
, who murdered 17 students and three adults when he invaded a south
Florida high school. Fresh explanations for his actions are that he had a sad
and depressing family life, his parents had died, that he had mental problems
(just as jihadi killers all have “mental problems”; Islam inculcates those  problems), so many “personal” reasons that
one is reminded of that musical
number
from West Side Story
  (repeated
almost repeated verbatim by the MSM). Islam as a totalitarian ideology
guarantees mental problems, as I discuss in one of my past columns Islam, Can
only Go Mental
from June 2017.
But what problems did Nicolas Cruz have? Basically,
he liked to kill things.
Western
Journalism
listed many of these acts:
More disturbing details have emerged about
the suspect charged in the Wednesday shooting at a high school in Florida.
Nikolas Cruz, 19, allegedly opened fire with
an AR-15 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in South Florida, killing at
least 17 people. Cruz was charged Thursday with 17 counts of premeditated
murder.
Many of Cruz’s classmates and neighbors did
not seem surprised at his actions, pointing to his interactions with animals
and what he posted on social media as evidence of his mental health issues, the
U.K. Daily Mail reported.
Malcolm Roxburgh, one of his neighbors, said
that Cruz seemed to target the family across the street who had pigs.
Even The
Washington Post
on February 15th had to concede that Cruz exhibited
“disturbing” behavior in “Fla. shooting
suspect had a history of explosive anger, depression, killing animals”:
PARKLAND, Fla. —
The killing began with the squirrels. As a fourth-grader, Nikolas Cruz would
try to bloody them with his pellet gun. Then he started going after chickens.
By the time Cruz
was a teenager, he was sneaking into his neighbors’ yard across the street and
trying to get his dogs to attack their baby potbelly pigs.
One resident
watched him take long sticks to rabbit holes, ramming them down as hard as
possible to kill any creatures trapped inside.
How often, ad nauseam, do we read that arrested jihadists, in Europe, guilty
of killing one, two, or a dozen Westerners have “mental illness problems”?
She will never surrender
Is there any difference between Cruz’s
behavior and those of your random Muslim jihadi? If death – their victims’ and
their own – is the end,  I don’t see it:
In Australia,
a Muslim plotter to kill as many “infidels” as possible was revealed.
The claim was made during sentencing
proceedings for Tamim Khaja, 20, who pleaded guilty in October to planning
and preparing a terrorist attack two years ago.
The then 18-year-old was arrested
while readying for a massacre, either at the U.S. embassy in Sydney, an
Army barracks or at a court complex. It’s alleged Khaja is close to
imprisoned Islamic extremists Milad bin Ahmad-Shah al-Ahmadzai and his brother,
Maywand Osman, who are also in custody on terrorism offences.
Video evidence was shown of Khaja
appearing expressionless as he talks about murdering innocent people, ABC News reports.
He told undercover officers he was
planning “maximum fire.”
“I mean to take as many of them down as I
can. I’m not going to stop firing… If there’s like a two month old baby, or
someone holding a baby, I’m just trying to think if that’s true, I wouldn’t
buckle in that situation.”
Meanwhile, in Belgium, Muslim parents beat
up their own children for being “too Western.” Jihad
Watch
reports yesterday:
Police in the Belgian city of Waregem arrested
a Tunisian couple for battering their four children.
The reason for this ill-treatment is that
the children are “too Western” according to their parents. During a dispute the
16-year-old daughter was hit with a belt in the face and was seriously injured.
The police interfered during the fight and
arrested the father and the mother of the children. According to the
prosecutor’s office all children were maltreated. The couple also had plans to
send their children to Tunisia, an Islamic country with between 98 and 99 per
cent Muslims…
And in the Muslim “heaven” of Maylasia, a
Muslim child was murdered by her own father for not being quick enough in her Koran lessons. The Conservative
Tribune
reported yesterday:
The left is a broken record when it comes to
Islam. No matter how violent the action that is done in its name or by its
people, the response is always the same: Islam is a peaceful religion. A report out Malaysia is just one more
example that goes against this narrative.
Port Dickson army sergeant Mohammad Abdullah
Mohamed was charged for culpable homicide in the death of his daughter Nur Aina
Nabihah Mohammad Abdullah, at their residence on Jan. 31, the Malaysia Gazette reported.
Mohamed
allegedly mistreated his daughter frequently. In fact, Malaysian news agencies
reported that the girl had various injuries, including broken ribs, a punctured
intestine and a damaged liver.
Nur Aina was reportedly subjected to a “commando-like
routine” by her father. Such routines included doing push-ups, sit-ups and
squats.
The girl was also reportedly beaten with a
belt, slapped, kicked and even stomped on.

The “Religion of Peace” at work in 1979 Iran:

Yes, Islam is a “peaceful religion,” if you
are a victim of it and dead. Iranians experienced the peacefulness, according
to Majir Rafizadeh in his February 17th article at the Gatestone Institute.
When Khomeini took power in 1979,
Thousands upon thousands of people were executed simply for voicing their opinion. Many also died for crimes they likely did not commit. The Islamic law
(Sharia) of the ruling Shiite party was imposed on everyone….
When the Iranians revolted, they were
crushed by
Khomeini’s thugs.
In a four month period, some 30,000
political prisoners were hanged simply for suspected loyalties to anti-theocratic
resistance groups, mainly the PMOI — incidents largely ignored by media
outlets.
This was Jimmy Carter’s legacy of “peace’ –
and Barack Obama’s.
Did Khomeini’s killers or Khamenei’s and
President Hassan Rouhami’s thugs ever feel “sad” or remorseful about all people
they’ve killed, executed, raped, and tortured? Very doubtful. The mullahs’
goons have extinguished many more lives than has Nicolas Cruz, but, from Tehran
to Parkland, Florida, the anti-life motive is the same: a delight in causing death
and suffering.

Monsters and Madness

She will never surrender.

Pamela Geller
said, “They lost the election, and then lost their minds.”
I promised some movie reviews. These reviews
reflect the abandonment of cause and effect, logical plots, reason, and endings
that make sense.
I discuss some Netflix movie fare:
Just note  the ubiquity of the epistemological disintegration
in movies. I’m not making it up or exaggerating.
The Batman comics and films have spawned a Netflix TV series. First of
all is Dr. Hugo Strange ( director of
a Gotham insane asylum. He’s Chinese. He lets free as certifiably “sane” Oswald Cobblepot
to advance an unspoken conspiracy of his own. He keeps frozen  bodies in the basement of the asylum. He’s
“reanimated” the body of the original “Mr. Freeze” and black crime queen Fish
Mooney and other deceased criminals, and kept them in preserved until he
reanimates them to unleash vengeance and chaos in Gotham. “Mr. Freeze,”
committed suicide after his wife dies of some unidentified disease he was
trying to save her from. He froze himself to death.
Another stinker: “The Cloverfield Paradox.” Time: the near future. If
you remember or ever saw “Cloverfield” a few years ago,
it was a black-and-white (and now a color) Hollywood product about some
mysterious, and possibly undersea creature or alien, raiding Manhattan. The Head
of the Statue of Liberty is knocked off and sent to land on Fifth Avenue. No
explanation was given what it was. Film ends with the creature trapping a
surviving couple in Central Park, their fate unknown. Actions in the whole film
visually recorded on some character’s camera phone as he and his friends try to
outrun the creature.
“The Cloverfield Paradox”
is supposed to be a follow-up. And apparently there is a series and a fan base.  It is mostly set on a space station
whose purpose is to test some device to supply the earth with free energy (man
is running out of energy supplies, war may break out). The crew tries over and
over again to get the device to work. Then it works and the earth disappears and
the station is in unknown space. The explanation is that man has introduced an
alternate universe.  Strange things begin
to happen.  One of the crew painlessly
loses his right arm; he’s left with only a stump, which is volitional and can
write messages.
After a series of
inexplicable incidents (none of which is explained) they reconnect with Houston
(it’s an international, multi-race crew wearing British Union Jack patches) and
learn that earth is in chaos. Earth reappears outside their windows.  The head of the crew dies trying to fix the
station and commits suicide by staying inside some module that has to be
separated from the station. Other crewmen die or are murdered. A minor crewman
gets the station back on track and takes a landing craft back to earth. A
voice-over warns the station, now decimated of the crew, not to return because
of some threat. The last shot is of some giant creature emerging from an ocean
of clouds, and roaring his lungs out.
All the irrationality
is explained as the protagonists’ meddling with natural forces that leap time,
space, and reality.
The face of the MSM: Oswald Cobblepot of “Gotham”
Another monster!
Too busy vetting Christopher Steele’s dossier of bogus information on
Donald Trump, Florida high school shooter slipped under the radar.
The Crazy SPLC
The FBI was notified about a “Nikolas Cruz’
who wanted to be a “professional school shooter” back in September, according
to reports.
BuzzFeed
reports that a YouTube user named Ben Bennight tipped off
the FBI about a comment left by a “Nikolas Cruz” on one of his videos that
read, “I’m going to be a professional school shooter.”
Bennight
immediately contacted the FBI and spoke with agents the following day.
“They
came to my office the next morning and asked me if I knew anything about the
person. I didn’t. They took a copy of the screenshot and that was the last I
heard from them,” he told BuzzFeed.
Amid  all the screaming and
shouting for gun control, comes Daniel Greenfield with a modicum of intelligent
commentary on “Inanimate
Objects Don’t Shoot People, Criminals Do
” a day after the Florida massacre,
in which he stresses,
Guns don’t kill people. Hammers don’t jump
off the shelf and smash heads. Knives don’t leap of their own accords into
chests.  People do these things. Bad people. Criminals…..
But there is no
debating the fact that the inanimate objects are not the root cause.
Elaborating on that point, I wrote a comment:
“…there is
no debating the fact that the inanimate objects are not the root cause.”
Except in cartoons, in which such inanimate objects acquire volition, act
independently of human action, and target villains and nice characters alike to
our amusement. We’ve seen uncounted cartoons that depict this absurd
phenomenon. It could be said that anti-gun advocates have watched the same
cartoons and believe also that “guns kill” people not criminals, not
people or terrorists, and are not amused. You have to question their sanity and
age group.
The Parkland,
Florida killer said that firing guns gave him a sense of “efficacy,”
so he killed 17 students and wounded about a dozen more. Doing so gave him a
kind of existential “high.” He
shot the students, not the gun he carried. His madness, I’m sure his lawyer and
the MSM will argue, gave him some sort of ESP connection with the trigger,
causing the trigger to act independently of the fact that he held the gun. Cruz
was only the instrument, just as jihadists are the instrument of Allah’s
wrath.  Allah, or Madness, wasn’t
merciful that day. So Cruz didn’t kill anyone, they’ll say. It is “debatable.”
The gun killed people. If Crux hadn’t access to guns, he wouldn’t have
been present to see anyone shot. The gun would’ve gone off by itself, somewhere
else, and possibly shot a cuckoo clock. Instead the gun mysteriously fired at
helpless students. The killer now feels “sad” and
“remorse.”
This is called a disconnect from reality.
The
Conservative Tribune
reports and repeats the coverage we’ve read on other
sites:
Regarding the
shooter, it’s been reported he had a troubled family life, due in part to
the death of his father more than a decade ago and death of his mother last
year, as well as a disturbing obsession with firearms and inexplicable interest
in “Syrian resistance groups.”
The Daily Mail (UK) carries a list
of fatal school
shootings from over the last 20 years.
How many people have a “troubled family life,” but don’t go to schools
to shoot anyone?
In the meantime, because the Left and the MSM have lost Hillary Clinton
as a loser and as a viable “favorite son” to occupy the White House as
Bitch-in-Chief, it has settled on the authoritarian regime of King Jong Un and
his smiling sister, Kim Yo Jong. Breitbart
reports that the MSM is falling head over heels for the queen of North Korean
propaganda:
There’s a new competitive sport at this
year’s Winter Olympics in South Korea. Its participants are members of the
establishment media. Their aim: to suck up to the despotic regime in North
Korea. The gold medal goes to the most ingratiating and morally obtuse
totalitarian ass-kisser. And though the games have just begun, I
think I know who the winner is.
Though
this new competition was introduced especially for the Pyeongchang Games, it
has many historical antecedents; the current field of play is the media’s
fawning coverage of Kim Yo Jong, sister of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un,
who has become the media’s belle of the ball. As a CNN headline put it, she is “stealing the show” at the Winter Olympics.
The MSM sends kisses to Kim Yo Jong because, apparently, she and her
brother, had such troubled family problems, too, just as Nikolas Cruz had in
Florida, living as they did under the dictatorial regime of Kim Jong-il.  It was so difficult to decide how many North
Koreans will be killed, sent to gulags, or starved.
Narges Hosseini: heroine of freedom
The MSM would rather ask for the
next dance with Kim Yo Jong rather than bother about the fate of women who
threw off their hijabs  in Iran, or
devote any words to the subject. Jihad
Watch
reports:
Narges Hosseini, who
was arrested for protesting Iran’s compulsory hijab, refused to appear in court
to face charges punishable by up to 10 years, including “encouraging immorality
or prostitution.”
“Ms.
Hosseini did not even appear in court to express remorse for her action. She
said she objects to the forced hijab and considers it her legal right to
express her protest,” Hosseini’s lawyer, Nasrin Sotoudeh, told the Center for
Human Rights in Iran (CHRI) on February 5, 2018….
“Ms.
Hosseini is being held in difficult circumstances in Gharchak Prison [south of
Tehran] but she is not prepared to say she is sorry,” Sotoudeh, a prominent
human rights lawyer, told CHRI. “She believes she’s innocent.”
Hosseini
is facing the charges of, “openly committing a harām [sinful] act” and
“violating public prudency” under Article 638 and “encouraging immorality or
prostitution” under Article 639.
Dozens of other Iranian women who discarded their hijabs were arrested,
as well, and have disappeared into the regime’s notorious, rape- and torture-
happy prisons.
 The MSM, its own
brand of monster, loves Kim Yo Jong, and hates the Iranian women, because it
hates Donald Trump. That’s the long and short of certifiable madness.

Corruption and Islam

Never mind MY collusion with Russia.

Reality is fluid.

I get tons of emails from Trump-friendly
sites every day, and am overwhelmed by the voluntary and necessary task of
reading the news, until I nod off in exhaustion. I thought the deluge had peaked
during the 2016 presidential campaign, but the Niagara Falls of information
keeps coming, creating clouds of fake news vapors. Now it’s not whether or not
Trump wipes the floor with Hillary, but it’s the latest MSM conniption fit with
hair being torn out in angry exasperation and furious foot-stamping, and over
Trump’s hair. If it isn’t about whether or not
the FISA memo ought to be released, to the style of Trump’s socks, then
it’s about  what he keeps on his “racist”
Oval Office desk.
One thing that worries me about the FBI/State
Department/NSA scandal is that one or
all of the culprits named in the release of the FISA memo will not be punished;
that is arrested, cuffed, charged, and hauled off to detention or put under
house arrest with ankle bracelets before being tried for treason, plotting to
overthrow a properly elected President, suborning Congress, and
a baker’s dozen
of other serious crimes.
None of these people should be allowed to
live easily and go golfing after being outed as obsessed criminals:  James Comey, Robert Mueller, Hillary Clinton, Andrew
McCabe, John Podesta, Rod
Rosenstein, Sally Yates, FBI agents Peter
Strzok and his mistress, Lisa Page, and a dozen or more others afflicted with
Never-Trump brain seizures, including Barack Obama, who, as then President, okayed
the wire-tapping
of Trump Tower in New York City. This operation was
directed against President Trump, who should take it personally, if nothing
else, and call for their arrests, but hasn’t (yet). Americans have not seen any
indication that he will slap the guilty with iron gloves.
Christopher
Steele
, the one-time British spy and Trump dossier fabricator, ought to be extradited
to the U.S. and made to answer for his contribution to a fraud.
On
both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, former British MI-6 Intelligence Officer
Christopher Steele is going to extremes to avoiding answering questions from
the United States Congress, while at the same time avoiding being videotaped
and deposed in a multi-million dollar libel case brought
against Buzzfeed.
At
the very least, the culprits should be sentenced to the mandatory testing of
consuming converted human waste as astronaut
food
, to see if it’s acceptable NASA fare to anyone in the astronaut corps.
Victor David Hanson
gives an accurate overview of the whole FISA debacle:
In
the Iran-Contra affair of 1985–87, the media and liberal activists uncovered
wrongdoing by some rogue members of the Reagan government. They warned of
government overreach and of using the “Deep State” to subvert the law for
political purposes.
The
Mueller investigation has ergo been revealed as a safari paid by taxpayers in a
fruitless pursuit of pink elephants.
We
are now in the midst of a third great modern scandal. Members of the Obama
administration’s Department of Justice sought court approval for the
surveillance of Carter Page, allegedly for colluding with Russian interests,
and extended the surveillance three times.
The
Mueller investigation has ergo been revealed as a safari paid by taxpayers in a
fruitless pursuit of pink elephants and Russian unicorns.
Wikeleaks released a roster of most of
Hillary’s rodent collection:
As
for the complcit
MSM, its members can’t be force-fed its own lies and
wishful thinking. After all, it represents the “free press” (guffaws welcome).
Those MSM heads include: Cecilia Vega, David Muir, Diane Sawyer, Jon Karl and
George Stephanopoulos of ABC News; John Heilemann and Mark Halperin of
Bloomberg; Norah O’Donnell and Vicki Gordon of CBS News; Brianna Keilar, David
Chalian, Gloria Borger, Jeff Zeleny, John Berman, Kate Bouldan, Mark Preston, Peter
Strock and Lisa Page of the FBI,  and Sam
Feist of CNN; Savannah Guthrie of NBC; and Alex Wagner, Beth Fouhy, Phil Grifin
and Rachel Racusen of MSNBC. MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow.
All your favorite evening and newspaper moaners and
whiners.
The
AIM article of February 7th also lists those who attended John Polesta’s
dinner. At ABC, Julie Pace, Ken Thomas and Lisa Lerer of the Associated Press;
Jennifer Epstein of Bloomberg, April Ryan of the American Urban Radio Network,
Rudy Cramer of Buzzfeed, Mike Memoli and Evan Handler of the Los Angeles Times,
Alex Seitz-Wald of MSNBC, Mark Murray of NBC, Anita Kumar of McClatchey, Amy
Chozik and Maggie Haberman of the New York Times, Tamara Keith of NPR and Annie
Karni and Gabe Debenedetti of Politico.
On
a maudlin, almost comic note, Clarion
reported on February 7th that
Al-Qaeda launched a new
magazine for jihadi brides titled Beituki (“Your Home”).
Here’s everything you need to know — in al-Qaeda’s opinion — to take care of a
jihadi husband.
P.S.
We aren’t making this up. The magazine and its advice are for real.
It
is an answer to ISIS sending its women to fight. The al-Quada magazine reflects
the terrorist organization’s conformance to Islamic teachings.
Apparently
fed up with ISIS which is putting women on the front lines when they should be
at home preparing to take care of their husbands…
An important question: Do Muslim women
patronize hair salons? And if they do, what for if they must wear hijabs? Is it
to delight their hard-working husbands when they come home with a sack of
severed heads?
Beituki must have an answer.

Angela
Merkel gives a thumbs up to destroying Europe.
“Let
the Germans and French and English eat cake! – or halal or sh-t.”
Angela Merkel of Germany is determined to
subject the country to the savagery and barbarism of immigrants, and punish
Germans who object to it. It’s their altruist duty to submit. The land of poets
and philosophers will eventually become a land of rapists and looters.
About those “refugees” and immigrants,
American taxpayers are paying for their relocation here to the tune of nearly
$16,000 per head. Edward Griffin’s Need
to know
reports today that
The Federation for
American Immigration Reform (FAIR), a pro-American immigration think tank,
issued a study Monday showing a strikingly high price tag for resettling
refugees in the United States.
The Deep State shows its fangs
The Federation for American Immigration
Reform, an American immigration think tank, released a study that shows each
refugee costs US taxpayers $79,600 for the first five years of an average refugee’s
stay, which breaks down to $15,900 per year. This includes Medicaid, Food
Stamps, public education, public housing, and other government benefits. The US
accepts 50,000 to 100,000 refugees per year and 20,000 to 50,000
political-asylum-seekers per year. Most of them arrive here without financial
resources, and the American taxpayer is required to feed, clothe, and shelter
them in addition to funding job-training programs.
Breitbart
adds a note about the hidden costs of “resettlement”:
The
figures do not include
an assessment negative societal impact, if any, from
refugee resettlement. The authors write:
It
is important to note that this analysis does not address the costs associated
with any incurred national security and law enforcement costs associated with
some refugees who pose a threat. The total price of additional vetting and
screening expenditures, law enforcement and criminal justice costs, and federal
homeland security assistance to state and local agencies is hard to quantify.
Doubtless
it can’t be “quantified” by the number of people
killed by jihadists
in the U.S. and in Europe. Dozens, hundreds, and even
thousands (re 9/11) killed with the turn of a page.
The
quantity will grow because the West has yet to understand the aims of the Muslim Brotherhood and its terrorist
bedfellows.

The Stigma of the Hijab

This is not as compelling and attention getting
news as the publication of the FISA
report
, but it is quite as important. The FISA memo release reveals as much
about former President Barack Obama as it does about Hillary Clinton and the
DNC and former FBI director James Comey and all his munchkin
plotters.
Last Monday, February 1st, was World Hijab Day. The event was celebrated
chiefly by cosmetics firms in ads in magazines and newspapers to prove that
they have no prejudice against Muslim garb. And, in fact, they think it’s a
good idea. They are willing to incorporate the hijab into standard fashion
development. The ads
were the most visible evidence of the cosmetics companies’ submission to Islam (which means
in Arabic
, submission, that fact
cannot be overemphasized). Ads that promoted hair coloring or conditioning
featured models in hijabs but no visible hair (but lots of eye-liner, mascara, lipstick,
and other face-enhancing make-up), but the hair was hidden by prominently
air-brushed hijabs.
Then, you may ask, what was it these firms
were selling? What does one see in the ads? It wasn’t just the hijab.  It was the imperative to accept the hijab as
an item of Western feminine dress. It is but pushing acceptance of the Muslim version
of the babushka. One guesses that sooner or later these same companies will
push for acceptance of the burqa. In the U.S. meanwhile, Clarion
reported:
In Florida,
a table at the University of Central Florida, was protested because someone
complained about it.  Clarion reported:
A Muslim student at the University of
Central Florida tried to get a fellow student expelled for criticizing the
activities of World Hijab Day on campus.
When Kathy Zhu noticed a “try on a hijab
booth on campus under the banners of “My hijab empowers me” and “My hijab is a
symbol of understanding,” she took offense and snapped a picture of the booth.
Later, she posted the picture and tweeted,
“There’s a ‘try a hijab on’ booth at my college campus. So you’re telling me
that it’s now just a fashion accessory and not a religious thing? Or are you
just trying to get women used to being oppressed under Islam?”
After news of the tweet got around, one of
the Muslim students working in the booth, tried to start a movement to get Zhu
expelled from the university.
Protestors
of the tent have campaigned to get the student, Kathy Zhu, who reported the “Try
a Hijab” table. Outcome as of this date is unknown.
Women in Iran protesting
having to wear the hijab have gotten shamefully little press in the West. Western
“feminists” are noticeably absent in any endorsement of the Iranian women’s
actions.  Many of these women were
arrested and jailed, in prisons notorious for rape, torture, and starvation.  One has reportedly been released, but her
condition is unknown. The
woman in
the video, Vida Movahed, was arrested and held for weeks but was
recently freed, reported CNN.
Wearing the hijab anywhere,
and especially in Iran, is a sign of submission (what else?) to  Islam and Sharia law. In Iran, many women
pretend that their hijabs fall off or are blown off by the wind. 29 women
arrested and have disappeared into the Revolutionary Guard’s notorious X
prison, fates unknown. Probably many more were arrested
than 29
. No word from Western “feminists,” not a word of support or
recognition that these women even existed.
But men have the upper hand
in any
male-female
relationships, civil or private.
Men
have authority  over women because Allah
has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to
maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because
Allah has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them
and send them to beds apart and beat them.” — Qur’an 4:34
Apparently, a whole family’s women wore the
hijab, including the victim of the crime. The death of a 9-year-old girl caused
by her “humble” father did not make a difference, whether or not she wore a
hijab.  But in most Muslim countries,
wearing the hijab is no guarantee that a woman will not be attacked, raped, or
killed. This is especially true in Pakistan.
The Koran could just as well have reported
another bit of Mohammad’s alleged wisdom:
“If you make yourself
alluring, you are tempting men to abuse you. Wear the hijab, do not make
yourself alluring and tempting, cover yourself from head to toe. If you make
yourself alluring, and are attacked, it is your fault.”
A German
state ad pushing Islamic garb.
Message:
Get used to it.

But the hijab is not hiding
her blonde tresses.

Muslim men cannot control themselves. Their libidos
govern their urges. To them, rape is as meaningful as emptying the bladder.  It is also meaningful in the sense of that
forcing a woman – Muslim or non-Muslim – to submit.
It’s all about Islam, the political attribute of Islam.
The hijab hasn’t even an Islamic origin. It
predates Islam by at least a thousand years. Wikipedia has an informative
history of the “veil”:
In the Qur’an, the term ‘hijab’ refers to a
partition or curtain in the literal or metaphorical sense. The verse where it
is used literally is commonly understood to refer to the curtain separating
visitors to Muhammad‘s
house from his wives’ lodgings. This had led some to argue that the mandate of
the Qur’an to wear hijabs applied to the wives of Muhammad, and not women
generally.
Available evidence
suggests that veiling was not introduced into Arabia by Muhammad, but already
existed there, particularly in the towns, although it was probably not as
widespread as in the neighboring countries such as Syria and Palestine.  Similarly to the practice among Greeks,
Romans, Jews, and Assyrians, its use was associated with high social status.[  In the early Islamic texts, term hijab
does not distinguish between veiling and seclusion, and can mean either
“veil” or “curtain.”
A Cover Girl hijab ad
Veiling did not
originate with the advent of Islam. Statuettes depicting veiled priestesses
precede all major Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Judaism, and Islam),
dating back as far as 2500 BCE. Elite women in ancient Mesopotamia and in the
Byzantine, Greek, and Persian empires wore the veil as a sign of respectability
and high status. In ancient Mesopotamia, Assyria had explicit sumptuary
laws
detailing which women must veil and which women must not, depending
upon the woman’s class, rank, and occupation in society. Female slaves and
prostitutes were forbidden to veil and faced harsh penalties if they did so.
Veiling was thus not only a marker of aristocratic rank, but also served to
“differentiate between ‘respectable’ women and those who were publicly
available.”
On a subjective note, the veils worn by
Greek, Roman, and Persian women were intended to be complimentary adornments,
aside from the purpose of identifying a woman[s social rank. The Muslim hijab, however,
creates what I call ugly “fat faces” which no amount of make-up can correct.
The hijab is but a symbol of a measure of
Western submission to a distinctly non-Western ideology, and a viral one if one
ingests into a culture.
The hijab is a stigma of submission, a
personal stigmata worn by any
woman who cares about her identity as a free woman, but is willing to
compromise it in exchange for an “odor of Islamic sanctity.”

A Deep Stater’s Brilliant Career

Bonnie & Clyde resurrected:
Robert Mueller and Nancy Pelosi

I think one of the most
satisfying instances , for me, at least, of Nancy Pelosi (the Old Woman of the
Democrats and their Botox Queen) having
to eat her words
was when she said to an interviewer on Kara Swisher’s “Recode,”
during the campaign, that Trump would not be President:

Donald
Trump will not
be President of the United States. You can take that to the
bank. I guarantee it.”
The man who wouldn’t be President

The debate between Trump and
Hillary, she said, will be taken to a “higher plane” by Hillary, far above Trump’s
alleged level of discourse.  This from a
criminal power luster about another criminal behind the Clinton disasters, the
Clinton Foundation scandals, and virtually everything that ever involved both
Clintons.  Pelosi’s hubris obviously cost
the interviewer some money, if indeed she took the advice to the bank. Hearing
her say that, would be much like reading that Al Capone had a penchant for
discussing metaphysics.

But her hubris – so confidently spoken as
though she was certain that Hillary
would win the election, she guaranteed
it, regardless – caused me to wonder: Did she have an intimate knowledge the
FISA and Fusion GPS  machinery that was at
work to rig the election in Hillary’s favor, and to “resist” Trump with every
trick available?

I think she knew everything
that was going on behind the scenes in 2016. Involved were the likes of fired FBI
Director James
Comey
, who let Hillary Clinton off the hook after detailing how she
violated the law and jeopardized national security with her private basement
email server. She did wrong, said Comey, but lacked
criminal intent
.

Certainly many of her cronies
were deep in the crime, such John Podesta, her campaign manager.  Chuck Ross of the Daily
Caller
wrote on January 27th:

Two Republican senators are pressing top
Hillary Clinton campaign and DNC officials for details of any contacts they had
with Christopher Steele, Fusion GPS employees, and several government officials
regarding the infamous Trump dossier.
Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley and South Carolina
Sen. Lindsey Graham sent letters this week to Clinton campaign chairman John
Podesta, strategist Joel Benenson, and former DNC chairwomen Donna Brazile and
Debbie Wasserman Schultz….

The letters also seek information regarding
any communications with two longtime Clintonworld hatchet men — Sidney
Blumenthal and Cody
Shearer
.

And what about Special
Counselor Robert Mueller,
also a former FBI head? He seems to be the point man in a seemingly endless
attempt to “catch” Trump in a lie, a crime, or inappropriate behavior, or
colluding with the Russians, which is turning out to be a mirage in the desert.
It is laughable that he is posing as a virtuous, conscientious man, “the Golden
Boy,” striving to bring down Trump. The man is as dirty as they come in
Washington. According to Tyler Durden, writing for Zero
Hedge
on the 29th, Mueller, in one of his golden actions  was to overlook the number of Arabs (Muslims)
taking flight lessons in this country.

Mueller took over the FBI one week before
the 9/11 attacks and he was worse than clueless after 9/11. On Sept. 14, 2011,
Mueller declared, “The fact
that there were a number of individuals that happened to have received training

at flight schools here is news, quite obviously. If we had understood that to
be the case, we would have — perhaps one could have averted this.” Three days
later, Mueller announced: “There were no warning signs that I’m aware of that would indicate this
type of operation in
the country.” His protestations helped the Bush
administration railroad the Patriot Act through Congress,
vastly expanding
the FBI’s prerogatives to vacuum up Americans’ personal information.

Mueller was in charge of the
FBI and of the investigation of why a family of rich Saudis left the U.S.  almost immediately after 9/11. Paul Sperry
writing for the New
York Post
wrote on April 15th, 2015,

Just 15 days before the 9/11 attacks, a
well-connected Saudi family suddenly abandoned their luxury home in Sarasota,
Fla., leaving behind jewelry, clothes, opulent furniture, a driveway full of
cars — including a brand new Chrysler PT Cruiser — and even a refrigerator full
of food.

About the only thing not left behind was a
forwarding address. The occupants simply vanished without notifying their
neighbors, realtor or even mail carrier.
The 3,300-square-foot home on Escondito
Circle belonged to Esam Ghazzawi, a Saudi adviser to the nephew of then-King
Fahd. But at the time, it was occupied by his daughter and son-in-law, who beat
a hasty retreat back to Saudi Arabia just two weeks before  [Italics mine]  the attacks after nearly a six-year stay
here. Neighbors took note of the troubling coincidence and called the FBI,
which opened an investigation that led to the startling discovery that at least

Neighbors took note of the troubling
coincidence and called the FBI, which opened an investigation that led to the startling
discovery that at least one “family member” trained at the same flight school
as some of the 9/11 hijackers in nearby Venice, Fla.
The investigation
into the prominent Saudi family’s ties to the hijackers started on Sept. 19,
2001, and remained active for several years.

Mueller was involved in the
ensuing cover-up, probably at the behest of President George Bush (of his
brother’s
  Islam is a “hijacked
religion” notoriety). Judicial Watch wrote on January 23rd:

Court documents
recently filed by the government further rock the credibility of Russia Special
Counsel Robert Mueller because they show that as FBI Director Mueller he worked
to cover up the connection between a Florida Saudi family and the 9/11
terrorist attacks. The documents reveal that Mueller was likely involved in
publicly releasing deceptive official agency statements about a secret
investigation of the Saudis, who lived in Sarasota, with ties to the hijackers.
A Florida journalism nonprofit uncovered
the existence of the secret FBI investigation that was also kept from Congress.

Under Mueller’s leadership, the FBI tried to
discredit the story, publicly countering that agents found no connection
between the Sarasota Saudi family and the 2001 terrorist plot. The reality is
that the FBI’s own files contained several reports that said the opposite,
according to the Ft. Lauderdale-based news group’s ongoing
investigation
. Files obtained by reporters in the course of their lengthy
probe reveal that federal agents found “many connections” between the family
and “individuals associated with the terrorist attacks on 9/11/2001.” The FBI
was forced to release the once-secret reports because the news group sued in
federal court when the information wasn’t provided under the Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA).

The disingenuous statements were issued by
FBI officials in Miami and Tampa in a desperate effort to disparage a 2011
story exposing the agency’s covert investigation of the Sarasota Saudis as well
as reporting that it had been concealed from Congress.

Ending the debate over whether
or not  to release the contents of the
FISA memo, Trump
ordered it released to the public
.  The Daily Caller reports today:

President Donald Trump has approved the
release of a classified memo compiled by House Republicans on the intelligence
committee, clearing the way for its release Friday, multiple outlets report.

The document allegedly contains proof that
some of the top officials in the Obama-era national security establishment
abused their authority to obtain surveillance warrants on members of  the
Trump 2016 campaign. House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes assembled the memo with fellow Intel committee members
and staff based on classified information turned over by the FBI and the DOJ.

The memo will be released with some
technical redactions requested by the FBI, which continues to object to the
document’s release. House rules dictate that the legislature can vote to
declassify material in the public interest stipulating the president must
approve its release within 5 days.

We can always rely on Daniel Greenfield to put
a prism of historical precedence on the FISA memo. In his Front Page column, “Who
Really Created the Trump Dossier?
” of February 2, he wrote:

In the very early nineties, the Democrats were as obsessed with
cocaine as they are now are with Russia. The cocaine in question was alleged to
have been bought by Vice President Dan Quayle. The 1992 election was coming up.
The decades of corruption, slime and lies by the Clintons were about to pay off.

President George H.W. Bush was enjoying high approval ratings.
Bill Clinton would weasel and claw his way to the front of the line largely
because the election seemed like a lost cause for the Democrats.

But the Clintons still had plenty of dirty tricks left to play.
The Quayle cocaine story was one of them. Like most discredited Democrat
smears, it was forgotten once it was no longer needed. It’s hard now to
understand how so many reporters and politicians could be sucked in by a
ridiculous smear campaign.

As P.T.
Barnum
once remarked, “There’s a sucker born every minute.” Especially today,
in the MSM.

One of the Quayle accusers had
confessed to lying
both to prison officials and to 60 Minutes.
“This guy not only flunked the lie detector test, but he
broke down and cried in front of Morley Safer and said that he had made it up
because he wanted to get out of jail,” Don Hewitt, the executive producer
of 60 Minutes, recollected.
The New York Times: A sucker born every edition

Fabricated denials and lies usually explode
and leave mud on the accusers and the accusers alike as it does now, as the Dems and
Robert Mueller and their
companions
in spirit have shown:
But the more the
story came apart, the more new conspiracy theories were spawned to bolster it.
Like Michael Wolff’s smears, it was too good for the left not to believe. Much
like Russian collusion, the story quickly shifted from whether Quayle had
actually bought drugs to whether the Bush administration had tried to cover it
up. The shift from a specific criminal accusation to nebulous conspiracy
theories that can never be disproven, but that empower open-ended witch hunts,
are a hallmark of Dem smears.

The Mueller
investigation likewise isn’t actually hunting for Russian collusion, but trying
to entrap President Trump with accusations that he covered up a crime that it
can’t prove ever happened.

The second phase of a
smear is to use the damage control tactics of the victim to create its own
crime. The dubious original accusation, Quayle’s drugs or Trump’s Russian plot,
never needs to be proven. It only needs to be shown that the target attempted
to defend against the accusation.

It isn’t a fact or a provable action or a
truth such creatures want to pursue. Reality, as Nietzsche or Descartes, is to
them is subjective and open to interpretation. “I think it happened, ergo it
happened.” The truth is irrelevant. They are certain that the truth is a piece
of fiction. They don’t need to bother producing evidence of anything. All they
need do use that hoary old courtroom chestnut and accuse a target “When did you
stop beating your wife?” or “Did you really use prostitutes in Moscow?” “Are
you sleeping with Nikki Haley?” or “How much did you pay Putin to help you win the
election?” and employ their best rumor-factory skills and to make the accusation
appear legitimate because it’s repeat ad
nauseam
in the MSM.

In the meantime, Sharyl
Attkisson
has provided the public with a list and chart of all the rumor mongers
responsible for FISI and Fusion GPS. It includes other scrambling rats of the
Deep State, who are afraid that they’ll be outed in the FISI memo and who
should be chewing their nails.

Malice Aforethought, an Exercise in Impotence

It was educational to watch
the audience during President Donald Trump’s State
of the Union
address in Congress the night of January 30th.
The Democratic side of the House played dead.
The #Resistance
is a hate group. It refuses to acknowledge the election of Donald Trump, even
to the point of questioning his physical and mental fitness to be President,
and includes in that mantra the implied accusation that Dr. Ronny Jackson, who
examined Trump, is lying. It is willing to say anything to damage Trump, no
matter how irrational outrageous and unproven. The “Resistance” goes further by
attacking anyone associated by Trump, such as Nikki
Haley
, whom they suggested, was having an affair with him.  It was prime meat for the Dems but the rumor
went nowhere. You can’t grow rain forest trees in the Gobi Desert.
Overall, the Dems during the
SOTUS behaved so predictably anti-Trump that it was a foregone conclusion that
they would put on anguished or sour faces when he listed his achievements over
the last year:
 Reduced
black and Hispanic unemployment figures
Two-point-four million new jobs
The Border wall
Merit –based immigration (and doing away
with chain and visa immigration policies)
The ubiquity of bonuses for American employees
(“crumbs” said Nancy Pelosi)
The decision to make Jerusalem the capital
of Israel.
Ridding bureaucracies of unnecessary
employees (an indirect assault on the Deep State)
Standing for the National Anthem (an assault
on football’s “knee” stunts)
Many Democrats displayed frustration
during Trump’s speech, refusing to applaud economic achievements, the dramatic reduction
in black and Hispanic  unemployment, veterans
and the parents of MS-13 victims. Most of them sat with hangdog expressions. They
were sending Trump a message he already had and had expected that night. Nothing
new. The Dems, in cooperation with the MSM and a multitude of pundits, have
been flinging arrows at him for the last year and even before he won the
election in November.
Rep.
Luis Gutierrez, a Democratic
politician, walked out
, wearing his African thingee on his shoulder, when
the House GOPs chanted “USA! USA! USA!” in response to Trump’s statement that
the Capitol Building was a monument to the American people. Few other Dems
joined the Republicans. One may suppose they disagreed with Trump. The Capitol
is supposed to be seen as a monument to these elected Social Justice Warriors,
and the hard work they perform to transform the country from the freest republic
in the world into a cesspool of collectivism, not to the hoi poloi.
Dems want the welfare state. Yearn for it. To
better run and regulate the lives of millions of Americans. Their unspoken
motto, in relation to uncontrolled, unlimited immigration, is that line from
Kevin Costner’s fantasy “
Field of Dreams”: “If you build
one [a baseball field], they will come
.” If you build a welfare
state, countless parasites will flood across the borders, (not the ghosts of
the late baseball legends). They will increase our voting blocs, garner us
countless new grateful Democrats to expand our base, but, you the working American,
will have no say in this, but have no choice but to pay for their illicit gold
mine of freebees in education, incomes, and so on, not us. It’s difficult to get
this point across to libertarians who foolishly call for “open borders” in the
name of “freedom.”
All in all, Trump’s State of the Union
address last night was encouraging if not thrilling. I sat

Never gives up, either

through the whole
speech, glued to my chair. Some pundits are now saying that it was better than anything
that Ronald Reagan ever said in that it gave the GOP some inspiration to get
done what they need to do on all the subjects he discussed. Over the next year,
the Democrats are going to get their butts laundered, although not by Trump.

The continuing, psychotic malice of the Dems and the MSM
will be spent shooting more arrows at Trump. And one day their quiver of hatred will be
empty.
